Cactus Echinocactus Sellowianus (1801-1871)
Louis Joseph Édouard Maubert (1806–1879) was a renowned French natural history painter specializing in plant illustration, particularly cacti. His illustration of the Echinocactus Sellowianus, created for the botanist Charles Antoine Lemaire, is distinguished by its exceptional detail and vibrant coloring, highlighting the unique beauty of this cactus species. Maubert's illustrations were not only artistically valuable but also of great importance to botanical science, as they helped to precisely visualize the described cactus species.

Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
