Psychotic Cat (1875)
Louis Wain (1860-1939) was an English artist best known for his whimsical and colorful depictions of cats. His work "Psychotic Cat" shows a marked departure from his earlier, more realistic cat paintings. In this work, Wain presents a cat with intense, swirling patterns and bright colors that give the impression of movement and almost psychedelic energy. The depiction may reflect Wain's own psychological changes; over the course of his life he developed mental health problems and spent his final years in psychiatric institutions.
Interesting fact: It is often speculated that the changes in Wain's cat paintings reflect his own progressive schizophrenia. Scientists and psychologists have studied his artwork to gain a better understanding of the connection between creativity and mental illness.

Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
