Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza, Roma (1642)
Francesco Borromini, a master of Baroque architecture, created the remarkable Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza in Rome in 1642. This architectural gem is a prime example of Borromini's innovative approach to space and form. The church impresses with its unique spiral dome, which rises to the heavens like a celestial flame. Borromini's ability to combine complex geometric forms with an almost musical harmony is evident in every detail of this building. The façade and interior are a play of concave and convex lines that set the viewer in a dynamic state of motion.
Interesting fact: Francesco Borromini, born Francesco Castelli, was known for his eccentric personality and passionate dedication to architecture. Less well known is his frequent rivalry with his contemporary, Gian Lorenzo Bernini. This rivalry was so intense that it reportedly contributed to Borromini's decision to withdraw from public life and lead a secluded existence. Despite his brilliant work, Borromini suffered from depression and tragically committed suicide. His works, however, such as San Ivo alla Sapienza, remain as testaments to his genius and his relentless pursuit of architectural perfection.

Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
