The Evening (1847-1906)
Frits Thaulow, a Norwegian painter of the late 19th century, is known for his masterful depictions of landscapes and urban scenes. In his work "Le soir", Thaulow captures the tranquil atmosphere of an evening by capturing the soft light and subtle colors of dusk. The reflections in the water and the delicate shades of the surroundings are testament to his exceptional ability to depict nature in its silent splendor. Interesting fact: Frits Thaulow was not only a gifted painter, but also a passionate traveler. He spent a lot of time in France, where he maintained close friendships with other artists such as Claude Monet. A lesser-known fact is that Thaulow originally studied medicine before turning to art. He made this decision during a stay in Copenhagen, when he realized that his true passion lay in painting. His travels and encounters with other artists significantly influenced his style and contributed to his international recognition.

Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
