Hoarfrost in the Sun (1868-1948)
Gustaf Fjaestad, a Swedish painter who lived from 1868 to 1948, is known for his masterful depictions of winter landscapes. His work "Rimfrost i sol" captures the silent splendor of a frosty morning with the sun shining gently over the snow-covered trees. A member of the artist colony in Varberg, Fjaestad was a master at capturing the subtle nuances of light and shadow that make the Swedish winter landscape so unique. His paintings are not only visual representations, but also poetic narratives of nature.
Fun fact: Did you know that Gustaf Fjaestad originally started out as a cyclist before turning to painting? He was even Swedish cycling champion before giving up his sporting career to devote himself full-time to art. He transferred the discipline and perseverance he learned in sport to his artistic work, which is reflected in the attention to detail and patience that can be seen in his paintings.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
