Starry Night (1910)
Edward Henry Potthast, an American impressionist, captures the magic of the nighttime landscape in his 1910 work "Starry Night." With a brushstroke reminiscent of the French impressionists, Potthast paints the sky in a swirl of blues and yellows that transport the viewer to a dreamlike world. The stars sparkle like little jewels while the moon gently watches over the scene. Potthast's ability to use light and color to evoke emotion is particularly impressive in this painting. His works are often characterized by a serene serenity that puts the viewer in a peaceful mood.
Interesting fact: Edward Henry Potthast was not only a master painter, but also an avid traveler. He loved exploring the coasts of New England, which is reflected in many of his works. What is less well known is that Potthast did not move to Paris until he was 39 years old to study under the famous painters Fernand Cormon and Raphaël Collin. This late training in Europe had a lasting impact on his style and made him one of the most important American Impressionists of his time.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
