Vattenspeglingar (1868-1948)
Gustaf Fjaestad, a Swedish painter who lived from 1868 to 1948, is known for his masterful depictions of Nordic nature. His work "Vattenspeglingar" captures the silent poetry of a frozen lake, the surface of which reflects the light in a kaleidoscopic play of colors and shapes. A leading member of the artist colony in Varberg, Fjaestad was a master at capturing the subtle nuances of ice and snow. His paintings are not only visual representations, but also meditative experiences that transport the viewer into the silent beauty of the Scandinavian winter landscape.
Interesting fact: Gustaf Fjaestad was not only a gifted painter, but also a talented cyclist. Before devoting himself entirely to art, he won the Swedish cycling championship in 1892. This sporting discipline and his understanding of movement and rhythm are reflected in the dynamic composition of his paintings. Fjaestad was also an enthusiastic craftsman and designed furniture and textiles that further underlined his artistic vision of the harmony between man and nature.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
