The Saga Girl II (1912)
John Bauer's 1912 "Sagoflickan II" is an enchanting example of his masterful ability to bring fairy tale worlds to life. The painting depicts a young girl standing in a mystical landscape, surrounded by lush nature and mysterious beings. Bauer's use of soft colors and smooth lines gives the work a dreamy quality that transports the viewer to another world. His art is heavily inspired by Scandinavian folklore, and "Sagoflickan II" is no exception, as it captures the essence of fairy tales and legends rooted in the forests and valleys of his native Sweden.
Interesting fact: John Bauer was not only a gifted artist, but also an adventurer. He made numerous trips around Europe to find inspiration for his art. A lesser known fact is that during one of his trips in Italy, he became so fascinated by Renaissance art that he began to incorporate elements of that era into his own works. Unfortunately, his life ended tragically when he died in a shipwreck on Lake Vättern in 1918, depriving the art world of one of its most talented storytellers.

We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
