Poor Little Basse (1912)
John Bauer's "Poor Little Basse" from 1912 is a charming example of his masterful ability to transform fairy tales and myths into vivid images. Fun fact: John Bauer, born in 1882 in Jönköping, Sweden, was not only a gifted illustrator but also an adventurer. What is less well known is that he had a passion for travel and was inspired by his explorations in Lapland and Italy. These trips profoundly influenced his art, opening up new perspectives and motifs. Tragically, Bauer's life ended far too soon when he died in a shipwreck on Lake Vättern in 1918. His works, however, live on and enchant generations of art lovers.

Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
