Kawase is known for his ability to capture the beauty of the Japanese landscape and the changing seasons in his prints, paying particular attention to lighting effects and weather conditions.
Interesting fact: Hasui Kawase was posthumously awarded the honorary title of "Living National Treasure" in Japan in 1956, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to Japanese art and in particular for the revival and renewal of traditional Japanese woodblock prints in the 20th century.

Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
