A Knight There Rode (1915)
John Bauer's "En riddare red fram" from 1915 transports the viewer to a mystical world full of magic and mystery. Interesting fact: John Bauer, born in 1882 in Jönköping, Sweden, was not only a gifted painter but also a passionate storyteller. Less well known is that he originally considered a career as an actor before turning to art. Another fascinating detail from his life is his love of nature: Bauer often spent weeks in the woods to find inspiration for his works. Tragically, his life ended far too soon when he died in a shipping accident on Lake Vättern in 1918.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
