Helmer Osslund, a Swedish painter who lived from 1866 to 1938, is known for his striking landscape paintings that capture the wild beauty of northern Sweden. His work "Lapporten i höstfärger" depicts the iconic U-shaped mountain formation Lapporten in vibrant autumn colors. Originally trained as an architect, Osslund found his true calling in painting and became a master of the Nordic landscape. His works are characterized by bold colors and expressive brushwork that bring the dramatic nature of the Swedish landscapes to life.
Interesting fact: Helmer Osslund was a student of the famous Swedish painter Anders Zorn, who had a great influence on him. But what many people don't know is that while Osslund was traveling around Europe, he spent time working as a decorative painter in the United States. This experience helped develop his unique style, which combines traditional Swedish landscape painting with a touch of impressionism. Osslund was also an avid hiker, often wandering through the wilderness for days at a time to find the perfect inspiration for his paintings.

Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
