Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin, a master of Russian landscape painting, captures the majestic tranquility and pristine beauty of nature in his work "Forest". With an almost photographic precision, he paints the dense forests of Russia, which transport the viewer to another world with their attention to detail and liveliness. Shishkin, who was born in Yelabuga in 1832, studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg and quickly became known for his extraordinary ability to depict nature in all its facets. His works are not only a feast for the eyes, but also a testament to his deep connection with the Russian landscape.
Interesting fact: Shishkin was not only a gifted painter, but also a passionate botanist. He collected plants and studied them intensively, which helped him to depict the flora in his paintings with such precision. He was also known for his eccentric habit of painting outdoors, even in the most adverse weather conditions, which earned him the nickname "the Bear".

Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
