Time for a Bath, Valencia (1909)
Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida, the Spanish master of light, captures the essence of a sun-drenched day at the beach in his work "Time for Bathe, Valencia". The vibrant colors and dynamic composition almost make the viewer feel the salty sea breeze. Sorolla, known for his ability to capture natural light, depicts children playing and relaxed adults frolicking in the waves. The brushstrokes are lively and fluid, giving the image an almost impressionistic quality. Sorolla's love for the coast of his hometown of Valencia is evident in every detail.
Fun fact: Sorolla was not only a gifted painter, but also a passionate swimmer. In fact, he is said to have often set up his easel right on the beach to capture fleeting moments of light and movement. On one occasion, it was reported that he was so engrossed in his work that he did not notice the rising tide and his easel was almost swallowed by the sea!

We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
