Picquigny (1899)
Frits Thaulow's 1899 painting "Picquigny" is a masterful example of his ability to capture the subtle beauty of nature. Thaulow, a Norwegian impressionist, was known for his landscape depictions, which often featured rivers, streams and other bodies of water in soft, atmospheric tones. In "Picquigny," he captures the tranquil, almost meditative mood of a small French village crossed by a gently flowing river. Interesting fact: Frits Thaulow was not only a gifted painter, but also a passionate traveler. A lesser known fact is that during his travels in France, Thaulow developed a close friendship with Claude Monet, which had a lasting influence on his style. Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
