Moulin de la Galette (1876)
Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 1876 painting "Moulin de la Galette" is an impressionist masterpiece that captures the vibrant Parisian life of the 19th century. The scene depicts a joyful crowd gathered outdoors to dance, chat and enjoy life. Renoir uses soft, fluid brushstrokes and a brilliant play of light and shadow to capture the movement and atmosphere of the moment. The colors are vibrant and the composition dynamic, making the viewer feel like they are part of the scene.
Interesting fact: Renoir was known for his love of company and pleasure, which is reflected in many of his works. What is less well known, however, is that he worked as a porcelain painter in his youth before devoting himself to painting. This early experience decorating porcelain influenced his ability to masterfully handle color and detail. Additionally, Renoir suffered from severe arthritis in his later years, but this did not stop him from continuing to paint - he had the brushes tied to his hands so he could continue his art.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
