Evening on the Terrace (1857–1945)
A master of light and intimacy, Delphin Enjolras was born in 1857 in Coucouron, France. Known for his enchanting depictions of women bathed in soft light, in "Le Soir Sur La Terasse," Enjolras captures the quiet elegance of an evening on a terrace. His works are characterized by a masterful command of light, bathing the scenes in a warm, inviting glow. Enjolras studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was influenced by artists such as Jean-Léon Gérôme. His paintings are often intimate glimpses into private lives that evoke a nostalgic longing for a bygone era.
Interesting fact: Delphin Enjolras was not only a gifted painter, but also a passionate musician. He played several instruments and was known to enrich his studio visits with musical performances. This musical streak is reflected in the harmony and rhythm of his paintings, which often seem like visual symphonies. Another fascinating detail is that although Enjolras is known for his depictions of women, he also painted a number of landscapes and cityscapes, but these are less well known.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
