Vahine no te miti (1892)
Paul Gauguin's "Vahine no te miti" from 1892 is a fascinating example of his post-impressionist phase, in which he incorporated the colors and shapes of the South Seas into his works. The painting shows a Tahitian woman sitting in a dreamlike, exotic landscape. Gauguin, who was deeply impressed by the culture and people of Tahiti, used bold colors and simplified forms to capture the essence of the island world. The composition exudes a calm, almost mystical atmosphere that transports the viewer to another world.
Interesting fact: Paul Gauguin was not only a talented painter, but also an adventurous sailor. Before devoting himself to art, he worked as a stockbroker and undertook numerous travels. His passion for the unknown eventually led him to Tahiti, where he found inspiration for many of his most famous works. What is less well known is that Gauguin was also a talented sculptor and often made his sculptures from materials he found on his travels.

We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
