Poisson (1840–1916)
A master of symbolism, Odilon Redon was known for his ability to make the invisible visible. His work "Poissons" is a fascinating example of his art blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. Originally born in Bordeaux, Redon began his artistic career as a painter and draftsman before turning to lithography. His works are often surrounded by a mystical aura that transports the viewer to a world of dreams and visions. "Poissons" features a surreal depiction of fish floating in a dreamlike underwater landscape and reflects Redon's fascination with nature and the unknown.
Interesting fact: Odilon Redon had a close connection to literature and was friends with many writers of his time, including Stéphane Mallarmé and Joris-Karl Huysmans. In fact, Redon's work was mentioned in Huysmans' famous novel Against the Grain (À rebours), which helped him gain greater fame. Another fascinating detail from Redon's life is that as a child he was often ill and spent a lot of time alone, which fueled his imagination and significantly influenced his artistic development. These early experiences shaped his unique ability to depict the unconscious and the fantastic in his works.

Our fine art giclée printers use 12 different ink tanks and produce museum-quality art prints. Thanks to specially pigmented inks, significantly more color nuances can be displayed than with conventional printing processes and other providers.
Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
