The Purple (1896)
Maurice Pillard Verneuil (1869–1942) was a French artist and designer, best known for his work in the Art Nouveau movement. Verneuil was heavily inspired by nature and used plant motifs as well as geometric shapes in his designs. His work encompasses a variety of media, including textiles, wallpaper, and book illustrations. Verneuil was also a pioneer in the use of lithography for artistic purposes and contributed greatly to the popularization of the technique. His work "The Lilac" from 1896 is an outstanding example of his ability to translate natural forms into decorative art.
Fun fact: Maurice Pillard Verneuil was close friends with and collaborated with the famous artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and other notable artists of his time. This collaboration helped blur the boundaries between different art forms and pave the way for modern design concepts.

Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
