The School of Athens (1483–1520)
Raffaello Sanzio, better known as Raphael, was a master of the High Renaissance whose work "The School of Athens" is considered one of the greatest masterpieces in Western art history. Created between 1509 and 1511 in the Vatican Palace, this fresco is a tribute to the philosophy and knowledge of antiquity. It depicts a gathering of the greatest thinkers in history, including Plato and Aristotle, who are at the center of the composition. Raphael, through his masterful mastery of perspective and composition, succeeds in creating a harmonious and dynamic scene that impresses both intellectually and aesthetically.
Interesting fact: Raphael was not only an outstanding painter, but also a skilled diplomat. He was known for his charming personality and ability to network with the most influential figures of his time. A lesser-known fact is that while working on the frescoes in the Vatican, Raphael also worked as an architect. He was appointed chief architect of St. Peter's Basilica in 1514 after Donato Bramante, the original architect, died. This role highlights Raphael's versatility and influence on Renaissance art and architecture.

printing process
Our fine art giclée printers use 12 different ink tanks and produce museum-quality art prints. Thanks to specially pigmented inks, significantly more color nuances can be displayed than with conventional printing processes and other providers.
Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
