Study by Rein (1866-1938)
Helmer Osslund, a Swedish painter who lived from 1866 to 1938, is known for his striking landscape depictions. In his work "Studie med ren" he captures the raw beauty of Nordic nature. The colors are vibrant and the brushstrokes dynamic, giving the painting an almost mystical quality. Osslund was a master at capturing the moods of the Swedish landscapes, and his works are a testament to his deep connection with nature. Interesting fact: Helmer Osslund did not begin his career as a painter, but as an engineer. It was only after a stay in the USA, where he worked as a draftsman, that he decided to follow his true passion and become a painter. Osslund was also a student of the famous Swedish painter Anders Zorn, which had a significant influence on his style and technique. Despite his later successes, Osslund often lived in modest circumstances, as he refused to exploit his art commercially.

Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
