Renfjället från Ånsjön (1866-1938)
Helmer Osslund, a Swedish painter of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, is known for his vivid landscape depictions. Interesting fact: Helmer Osslund did not begin his career as a painter, but as a decorative painter for the Swedish railways. It was only after a stay in the USA, where he worked as a dishwasher, that he decided to pursue his artistic career seriously. Back in Sweden, he studied at the Art Academy in Stockholm. Osslund was known for often painting his canvases directly in nature, even in adverse weather conditions, in order to preserve the authenticity of his landscapes.

Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
