Waterfall (1919)
Ernst Ludwig Kirchner's 1919 painting Waterfall is a vivid example of his expressionist style, characterized by bold colors and dynamic brushstrokes. The work depicts a waterfall winding powerfully through a colorful landscape, surrounded by dense, almost abstractly designed trees and rocks. Kirchner's ability to express movement and energy through his signature technique gives the painting an almost palpable intensity. The composition inevitably draws the viewer's eye to the central motif of the waterfall, whose white and blue tones contrast with the warm colors of the surroundings.
Interesting fact: Ernst Ludwig Kirchner was a co-founder of the artist group "Die Brücke", which played a central role in the development of Expressionism in Germany. Despite his success, Kirchner suffered from psychological problems and was searching for recognition and understanding throughout his life. His work "Wasserfall" was created after a nervous breakdown and during his stay in Switzerland, where he found refuge and inspiration in nature.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
