The Rooster (1869-1954)
Simon Albert Bussy, a French painter born in 1869, is known for his vivid and detailed depictions of animals and plants. His work "Rooster" is a prime example of his ability to capture the essence of an animal with just a few brushstrokes. The rooster, with its magnificent plumage and proud demeanor, almost seems to leap out of the canvas. Bussy, who was active in the early 20th century art scene, had a particular penchant for depicting animals in their natural environment, which gives his work a timeless quality.
Interesting fact: Simon Albert Bussy was not only a gifted painter, but also married to the writer Dorothy Bussy, known for her novel "Olivia". The couple were part of an illustrious circle of friends that included the famous writer André Gide. Bussy was so close friends with Gide that he even painted his portrait, which is now considered one of the best depictions of the author.

We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
