Ballet Restroom (1923)
Zinaida Serebryakova, one of the first significant Russian painters of the 20th century, captures the graceful world of ballet in her 1923 work "Ballet Restroom." In this painting, she shows the dancers backstage in a moment of rest and intimacy. The soft pastel tones and the soft brushstrokes give the scene a dreamy quality that immerses the viewer in the quiet elegance of ballet. Serebryakova, known for her ability to capture emotion and beauty in her portraits and scenes of daily life, here shows her mastery of depicting movement and rest at the same time.
Interesting fact: Zinaida Serebryakova was born into an artistic family; her grandfather was the famous architect Nikolai Benois, and her uncle was the well-known painter Alexandre Benois. Despite her privileged background, she faced hard times after the Russian Revolution of 1917. She lost her husband and had to raise her four children alone. Nevertheless, she did not let this discourage her and continued to create works of art that testify to her deep love for Russian culture and landscape. A lesser-known detail is that during her time in Paris, where she emigrated in 1924, Serebryakova also worked as a set designer, which further deepened her connection to the world of theater and ballet.

Print Quality & Material
We believe that art has the power to inspire the mind, tell stories and transform spaces.
That's why we put our hearts into every step of the printing process to ensure that every work we produce meets the highest artistic standards.
printing process
Our fine art giclée printers use 12 different ink tanks and produce museum-quality art prints. Thanks to specially pigmented inks, significantly more color nuances can be displayed than with conventional printing processes and other providers.
Print medium
We use extra-heavy (400g/m2) premium canvas made from 100% cotton. The high grammage and texture of the canvas ensures a particularly high-quality and almost three-dimensional appearance.
Environmentally friendly
We only use original and high-quality pigment ink which contains real pigment particles. This is UV-resistant, solvent-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.
UV & moisture resistant
Thanks to the UV resistance of our pigment inks, the prints do not fade or discolor and retain their color brilliance for up to 100 years.
